Our pantry doors have spring-loaded-ball catches on the top edge. The ball retainer is made from cheap "pot metal" that occasionally breaks, allowing the ball to fly out when the door is opened.
After dealing with this shoddy product for a couple of years, I took careful measurements and designed a 3D-printed replacement.
Duplicating the original's threads was easy with the design software I use. The flat areas accommodate an open-end wrench to adjust the height. The 3D holder turns easily, so the flats aren't necessary on it. I might remove them if I need to print more.
