Costume Chain Mail

Daughter Michelle performs in poetry competitions, and needed chain mail for one costume. She planned to buy metal rings colored gold, but they were expensive, heavy, and difficult to connect together.

She accepted my offer to 3D-print them, and I made over 500 rings, with a total printing time of 24 hours.

Each ring has a gap for connecting it with another. After five or six tests with various widths, I found one that would allow easy joining, but wouldn't allow two rings to pull apart.
